Blank is about more than just a menu, it is about celebrating exceptional produce and people behind it. We work with suppliers, farmers and growers, big and small, from all provinces of Ireland and we’ve made a promise that our menus will only use produce from this island, unless, in exceptional circumstances it is fundamental to the dish and is not produced here.
Originally from Belfast, Stephen started his cooking journey 11 years ago in the Merchant hotel and then developed and perfected his cooking style and passion in Sapphyre in Belfast and further on cooked and developed menus in Ghan house in Carlingford. Stephen believes that true passion and inherent perfectionism translates into quality of any chefs work.
Through years of experience in Fine Dining establishments, Alex brings his passion and love for hospitality to Blank. Alex used to manage former Saphyre restaurant on Belfast’s Lisburn road and is a passionate trained sommelier who will ensure fine wines perfectly match flavours of our dishes and guests have a dining experience that exceeds their expectations time and time again. All keeping in with ethos of relaxed fine dining and using local, sustainable produce.
Christina and Jonny, owning and running Shed Bistro on busy Ormeau road for the last 3 years, are ready to release a concept that was just on paper for the last 7 years. Location and timing had to be right for this kind of project and it couldn’t be better than post covid and Brexit. Beautiful Victorian building will provide the perfect setting for the perfect foodie place, where you can unwind, relax and let us take you on a culinary journey.
